I liked this image because I love pictures of fruit vendors, markets etc, but also because it is a reminder that these 5 picturesque towns on the Italian towns may be overrun with tourists by day but they are actually places where people live. Find a hotel room in one of the towns or close by so that you can see them by night when the locals take the towns back as their own.

I want to go to England and France quite badly and was hoping for some suggestions as to ‘must see’s’. Thats my first question..
Second is I am going to take my kids to Europe. Now where, thats a good question. They are 24 and 22. One of each… My son is an artist and my daughter and wordsmith. Suggestions?

London and Paris are the first two obvious places, but both countries have a rich collection of destinations. Beatles fans should get to Livepool, History buffs to places like Normandie, Bathe, Hadrian’s Wall, Avignon, Carcassonne. Art lovers should see southern France or Province where Cézanne loved to paint or Giverny where Monet painted water lillies. Wine lovers should explore Burgundy or Épernay the home of Champagne.
