Today’s photo “Pantheon in a Glass” was taken by Sherry Ott and was submitted in the Amateur Traveler March Photo contest.
Sherry says:
Rome can be a challenging place to take pictures, the sites are crowded with tourists all trying to capture their moments among the ancient sites. At heavily touristed sites like the Pantheon I often like the challenge of trying to find a new way to depict an image we’ve all seen many times. After taking all the normal shots inside the Pantheon, we stopped to have an afternoon wine break at one of the outdoor cafes. As I sat talking to my friend while snacking on peanuts, I looked down and saw it; the best view of the Pantheon was in my wine glass. I knew that no one else was going to get this shot but me. Sometimes your drinks actually do speak to you!
