For the first time visitor or a resident the
Free London Walks Podcast is must. Robert Wright has produced about fifty one hour or so Podcasts featuring walks not only in the ‘tourist areas, but also areas in Zone 5 and greater.
An Osyter Card is good on the some of the railroads in London, but generally not south of Thames, at least until 2009 when Southern will join.

A huge thank you to Larry who suggested the London Walks Podcast! I was just in London and my husband and I did the “Alleys and Courtyards of the Medieval City” walk and has an absolutely fabulous time! I just wish we had more time to do more of the walks – they were very informative, interesting and much better than a guided tour. I highly recommend them!
